Background

Dr. Jens Grote has been working for Schindhelm in Hanover since 2026.

From 1981 to 1986, Jens Grote studied law in Kiel and Bonn. He then earned his doctorate in criminal tax law at the Institute for Economic and Criminal Tax Law under Prof. Dr. Erich Samson in Kiel. He completed his legal clerkship in Schleswig-Holstein from 1988 to 1991.

From 1991 to 2024, Jens Grote held a management position at Allianz Lebensversicherungs AG in the areas of life, pension, and disability insurance as well as real estate financing, most recently he directed one of three immobile credit department. From 1996 to 1999, he served as director for Allianz Lebensversicherungs AG in Mexico, overseeing the start-up Rentas Vialicias, which offered statutory disability pensions.

Dr. Grote has been admitted to the bar and has been practicing law since 1999.


Dr. Jens Grote advises domestic and foreign companies on all matters of commercial law and has particular expertise in the field of personal insurance law. As a litigator, he represents companies and private individuals in legal disputes before the ordinary courts and arbitration tribunals, as well as in the out-of-court settlement of disputes.
